In the 80's, the Ninja movies were the craze. The ninjas would throw something on the ground, and a flash of fire along with smoke would mask their disappearance. Every magician wanted one, but of course it was a special effect flash pot electrically timed to go off on cue.
Flash pots were cool, but the impromptu, no wire, no set-up flash was the holy grail of magic.
Now you can have the last of my Instant flash of fire and smoke device sold only through my lectures. You get the device only, and use your own flash paper and/or flash powder. The method uses a small cap device that is weighted, and produces the spark needed to ignite the paper which then ignites the powder. Only the impact of the bomb sets it off, so you can throw it on the floor at any time during your show to get the "ninja effect".
The trick used to sell for $20 along with flash paper and powder, but since I can't sell that on the net, you get the device only with simple and easy instructions for only $6 plus shipping!!
I used to buy these scarce little devices by the hundreds, made of metal (the best version), and I always sold out at conventions. Unfortunately I only have a little over 100 left, and you can buy all or just one. Use several during the act, or have extras for multiple shows.
They are re-usable, but do wear out after several forceful flashes, or kids grab em' or you just plain lose em'.
